Prerana (she/her) is a fourth-year Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior major and Psychology minor. As the lead of the SLM program, she runs BIG’s Research Training Program (BIG-RT) through developing modules which teach students essential laboratory skills and knowledge to gain the confidence to pursue research opportunities. Prerana also directs outreach in BIG to strengthen the unity within the various programs of our organization and reach new members.
She works as an undergraduate research assistant at the Saron Lab in pursuance of her interest in meditation and contemplative practices. She is also involved in BPSHI clinic and is the Publicity Chair in PAN'DA, which advocates for women's mental health.
Fun Fact: Prerana loves trying out new recipes and listening to music .
